In 1998, Mike led the development of the company’s proprietary trading software, which is still in use today. He takes great pride in MX Holdings’ commitment to being people-focused and purpose-driven, ensuring that the company makes a positive impact on both its employees and the community.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys ice hockey, skiing, golf, traveling, and spending time with his family. His go-to karaoke song is “New York, New York,” and his favorite use of aluminum is sitting on an ice-cold bleacher seat while watching a hockey game.

Vice President of Procurement
Jason Barr joined MX Holdings in July 2023 as Vice President of Procurement, where he leads the newly formed procurement organization. His focus is on enhancing external relationships with key partners and suppliers, improving procurement processes, and leveraging systems and technology to better understand and manage spend across the enterprise.
Jason began his career at Energizer Holdings, Inc., where he worked for 16 years, starting as a Production Supervisor and later leading over $1.2 billion in global spend as Director of Indirect Procurement. He then moved to The J.M. Smucker Company, where he spent 9 years as Vice President of Indirect Procurement and Shared Services, overseeing $2 billion in enterprise spend. During his time at Smucker, he implemented Supply Chain Financing, generating over $500 million in free cash flow and building industry-leading procurement capabilities.
He holds a double major in Economics and Business Administration from Muskingum College (New Concord, OH). Jason is proud of MX Holdings' family heritage and values, finding it refreshing to lead authentically without the pressures of a publicly traded company.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys fishing on Lake Erie with his family, collecting Cleveland sports team bobbleheads, attending country music concerts, and playing Fortnite with his daughters. He and his wife also run an Airbnb and enjoy remodeling houses. While he doesn’t sing, if he did, it would be something by Eric Church or HARDY. His favorite use of aluminum is disposable roasting pans, which he often uses when smoking meats.
Vice President, General Counsel
Carla Martin joined MX Holdings in 2023 as General Counsel and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Before joining MX Holdings, Carla was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Novus International, Inc., where she spent nearly eleven years devising innovative legal strategies. Her leadership earned multiple awards for her efforts in driving extraordinary results. Outside of law, Carla began her professional career as an emergency and critical care veterinarian, providing care for critically ill and injured animals. She hopes to return to veterinary medicine as a volunteer when she retires. As for karaoke, she’ll leave it to others, but when it comes to aluminum, she’s a big fan of its versatility, especially aluminum foil.
